Home Away From Home
" Home Away From Home "

Was walking through the woods , one afternoon
Trying to find a place to clear my thoughts
From the world outside
With all the drama, exsposed into my life
Wanting, longing, and searching for peace
Wondering why it felt as though Jesus had forsaken me
I had wished and prayed that death would come
For I felt, I was all alone..

While walking, I found this cabin on the hill
I knocked upon the door, but no one answered
Surprisingly the door opened..
I heard a voice say, "welcome home my child,
be not afraid to cast your burdens upon me "
At first, I was startled, but..
With tears falling down my face
I felt and heard the love of God's sweet grace
Searching the cabin through and through
I found no signs of anyone else there

Was such a peaceful, beautiful place
The funiture was nice and neat
As though someone had lived there
I walked into the kitchen
There on the dining table, was a feast prepared
Two plates were set, upon the table
As though they were set for two
I said Lord, " I haven't been able to eat in days!"
He said my child I know, " please sit with me "
As I begun to sit, an angel appeared

At first she startled me..
She giggled alittle as she handed me a napkin
God's voice appeared once more..
" Be not afraid, my child. For I am with thee "
I thanked the Lord for welcoming me into his home
He said please do eat my child!
I ate the most enjoyable meal I had ever tasted before
Soon afterwords, I said, " Thank you my Lord "
He replied " it was my pleasure
While I was sitting there enjoying this moment
I saw the most prettiest bluejay on the back deck

Walking over to the window
Jesus begun talking to me about my life
Back to when I was a child, " I had lost faith in Him "
So much had happened in my life, that caused me to refrain
From serving him to the fullest..
I lost contact of whom I was, and where God had intended me to go
While focusing on the things of this world,
I lost a chance at true happiness
By giving up on HIM..
I then heard the pain within Jesus voice..

Then there at once, he appeared in front of me
He walked over to where I was standing
With tears in both our eyes
Jesus held out his hand to embrace me
As Jesus felt a deep feeling of compassion, toward me
He knew I was unrecognizable to others here on earth
The pain I felt, of lack respect, he too had felt
Our hearts seemed to have connect
On a level, that no-one else could understand

I felt a deep relief of many years of pain stored
By letting go, and letting God heal me within
The hunger in my life had finally been met
Desparely longing, wanting, and needing to be loved
The way a child of God, was supposed to be loved
Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice, to bring me here
To show me He had never abandoned me, as His child
Everything Jesus said, made me feel so uncondionally loved

As our timing together here on earth was coming to an end
I thanked my Father, for leading me on this path
To experience His love on this journey was one of a kind
Everything was starting to look so bright
As the darkness, had me blind
From the depths of my soul " I " became a new me
I was able to see the path to my life alot clearer
Moulded in God's image, to be

<< Proverbs 3 >>
American King James Version

-------------------------- -------------------------- -------------------------- --
1 My son, forget not my law; but let your heart keep my commandments:
2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to you.

3 Let not mercy and truth forsake you: bind them about your neck; write them on the table of your heart:

4 So shall you find favor and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not to your own understanding.

6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.

7 Be not wise in your own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

8 It shall be health to your navel, and marrow to your bones.

9 Honor the LORD with your substance, and with the first fruits of all your increase:

10 So shall your barns be filled with plenty, and your presses shall burst out with new wine.

11 My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:

12 For whom the LORD loves he corrects; even as a father the son in whom he delights.

13 Happy is the man that finds wisdom, and the man that gets understanding.

14 For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.

15 She is more precious than rubies: and all the things you can desire are not to be compared to her.

16 Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honor.

17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.

18 She is a tree of life to them that lay hold on her: and happy is every one that retains her.

19 The LORD by wisdom has founded the earth; by understanding has he established the heavens.

20 By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew.

21 My son, let not them depart from your eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:

22 So shall they be life to your soul, and grace to your neck.

23 Then shall you walk in your way safely, and your foot shall not stumble.

24 When you lie down, you shall not be afraid: yes, you shall lie down, and your sleep shall be sweet.

25 Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it comes.

26 For the LORD shall be your confidence, and shall keep your foot from being taken.

27 Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do it.

28 Say not to your neighbor, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when you have it by you.

29 Devise not evil against your neighbor, seeing he dwells securely by you.

30 Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done you no harm.

31 Envy you not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways.

32 For the fraudulent is abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the righteous.

33 The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesses the habitation of the just.

34 Surely he scorns the scorners: but he gives grace to the lowly.

35 The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.
