The Light-headed Horse
The light-headed horse

I keep myself awake at night
Smoking fag after fag
Wondering why the smoke that kills me
Weaves such a wonderful web
Then envelopes everything it can
To try to cling on
Donít let go

Iím riding the light-headed horse
Through the blizzard of clarity
Watery eyes blur my vision
And nothing has ever been this clear
I can see past you now
Iíll kiss you with these venomous lips
If itís the last thing I do

Iíve made a promise to myself
When the time comes
Iíll breathe my last breath
Inhaling the intoxicating poison
That dances so seductively around me
Poison from start to finish
Thatís me with a kick

And Iíll always remember the times
When Iíd keep myself awake at night
Smoking heavily like some undiscovered slapper
Desperate to create an image
Something classy with a hint of rogue
Living the high-life
Smoking with the stars

When in reality
Iím sat in a room
Choking on my own dirty habit
Fascinated by the violent motions
Of the blizzardous smoke
And the imagery
Of the light-headed horse

As I read I so well understand...

I use to smoke and one day I could hardly breath.. ..

I quit and life is so much clearer... My mind is not in a fog!!

Your to pretty to let that poison rule you and your talent as a writer...

Cigarettes will ruin your health and make you old before your time...
