I really like your poem David! Something that for a moment seems so simple, and then so many other possibilities come to mind. To say something simple and really make it work is an art. For at the core of the most simple lies the profound and you have a knack for expressing that well. Happy New Year, Brian.

Some say its the journey, not the destination. In this piece you call into question the method. Literature depends on the method "how we get there" and in most good literature they get there by themselves! A simple piece that has some interesting connotations.

It matters not how we travel but whether we can squeeze a poem out of it. Much enjoyed. Bill

David, The recording of this makes it seem more sorrowful than when I read it the first time. I didn't get that feeling. Your recording and reading of it makes the journey seem lonesome. Tina

David, A lovely poem. Sometimes taking a trip alone is fun but sometimes taking it with other can be quite enjoyable too. Tina

I used to feel that way. Then I met my wife. Now ...I'd change the "I" to "we" It would be a much better trip especially if the we was someone you loved. Last word would have to be "Together" Much more fun that way. Try it. You may like it.
