I will take a walk down
to the ancient stone fountain
on a morning after dawn
Cobbles gleaming bright
in the sunlight after rain
I will throw a single Penny
and breath a silent wish
That I may soon see love
within your shining eyes

I will take a walk down
to the cold rocky seashore
in the day time after noon
Seaweed bright shining
in the waves after storms
I will make a line of footprints
and voice a simple longing
that I may find redemption
within your ardent kiss

I will take a walk down
to the old gabled Church
on an evening after dusk
Headstones silhouetted
in the moonlight after fog
I will light a single candle
and say a gentle prayer
That I may feel my dreams
within your gentle touch

The metering is perfect. The poetry is stunning. The romance is life-affirming....Just really good stuff...SO refreshing...len

Taking a walk down your cobblestone pathway to the shoreline

with all its cool refreshing fingers of salty spray ...

Then to the old gabled chruch yard to the headstones

To light a single candle to your love with its prayers..

 Heart wrenching to read....

Hugs ~ Scarlett
