finding me
i dwell apon a corner in anothers life moulded to
a shape that fits the hole
their likes i will encumber
her song my favourite number
an existance that was never mine at all
if they led then i would follow and gladly take
the lead if thats their way
to their tune i am a dancer
and yes my favourite answer
using words that were never mine to say
when the play is over i loose another corner every
time theres even less of me
once again so hollow
without a line to follow
with open eyes so blind they can not see
its time to take a breath and wonder if my life is
to be mine to live free
no self inflicted treason
on my life without a reason
today i start the search of finding me

I can so relate to this one because I've spent most of my life being chased by the conformists all the while living my life in the most comfortable and 'eccentric' way possible for me. And with diligence, those of us who are considered 'eccentric', will be confident and strong enough to find who we are, despite it all. Good write...made me think!
