As Numbers and Letters Collide
standing in front of a chalk board,
equations passing in front of my eyes,
I write out the ensuing formulae,
looking for the answer.

over and over again,
I see the aging mystery,
written out throughout our destiny,

as numbers and letters collide,
causing change in infinity,
brining the end of our vanity,
driving me on towards insanity.

drawing out the formula chain,
seeing the interlocking webs,
I cry out in frustration,
one leads to three,
two leads to zero,
the middle of air,
frozen in time,

as numbers and letters collide,
causing change in infinity,
bringing the end of our vanity,
driving me on towards insanity.

alas! I have it!,
the answer is nigh,
fleeting, instant,
lost in time,
grasped and thrown away,
riding the currents
into the maelstrom,
my mind has gone,

as the numbers and letters collide,
causing change in infinity,
bringing the end of our vanity,
locking me deep inside my insanity.
Author's Notes:

this one follows the chaos of my thoughts on the average day to day basis. I tend to think often of the mysteries of aging and life and all they seem to do is drive me on toward insanity, yet I know that once I find the answer, I will have locked myself inside insanity.

For someone so young your very wise and life truths and untruths will teach more and more...

Great poem and thank you for your kind comment on my feeble poem..
