I have searched the sky and sea
seeking with tired and sorrowful eyes
for that elusive and magnificent inspiration
wrought by a Rainbow shimmering
on the reflected calm of water

I will look to the horizon in solitude
to await the nourishment of colours bright
I will heed the whispered warning
where beauty has it's own language
and cries a symphony in the sky

This contemplation of solitude
leans to the weakening cries
of gulls on a lost horizon
revealing the heart secrets
of a departed freedom

One could bear a wreath of Laurels
but this world of darkness
is split by decending fires
and I saw sorrowful and brooding eyes
that did not bear forgiveness well

And I reverently approached a sky of storms
where an empty existance craves eternity
Who there will sympathise with me
as my inner rage overtakes my soul
and incantations are lost in the shadow

This is a wonderful piece.  it seems to describe my ritual of going to the bay and waiting for the sun to greet me.  But for me the storm has come to an end and the rainbow scatters gold at my feet.  I can't believe this is a work back just beautiful.
