On A Day Like Today
She looks through the kitchen window
A ray of sunshine touches her hand
The flowers look so bright today
A woodpecker strolls up the driveway

And she thinks

It's just a another somber day
In the mind of a lonely woman

No golden brick road
No roses in her way
Just the heavy lines
Underneath her eyes

A lonely woman
Looks through the kitchen window
And cries

...a woman's mood is always revealed looking out her kitchen did a fab job with these lines and images.  oh yeah, I felt it!  a poet just has to write and paint his subject with words...whatever the subject.  thanks for sharing each various scene as it passes before your eyes.  shee

As we age our emotions about life changes as well.....

There are days I feel just like this.....

BUt I just walk outside in the cool dawn breeze and take a big breath of fresh air to clear my stale night lungs

and begin my day being thankful..

Thank you for your kind comments on my poems.... it makes my day....

Your such a dear man and I enjoy your poems as well
