Footprints Anew
To see the last of your days is to see them all.
And into this chasm
Of reality and phantasm
You fall.

In the sun-gold meadows birds sang to you.
Around you they would float,
Each crisp note,
Smiling, you joined them and flew.

But beyond those ardent trees of old,
What songs did you miss?
Lips without kiss.
While you flew in the meadows of gold.

Each moment of life drips through your mind,
Colliding and growing
Now overflowing
In a flood that canít be confined.

To have walked past the field.
Footprints anew.
A chance to redo.
Still, you can not see whatís concealed.

You made this life, it was your choice.
Each song you heard,
By the meadow birds.
Can only be told by your voice

Very good to read your words again, Jimi!

I enjoyed the story developed here, which seemed to be about someone's choices and consequences. Well done!

Rich
