Aspiring dreams

A dream is a wish made by your heart

Something you hold onto forever

If that wish is not fulfilled have you failed?

The answer to that is no, never

As long as the heart keeps wishing

As long as the mind keeps dreaming

Then hopes and possibilities remain

You can go on planning and scheming

For if you can accomplish but one youthful aspiration

It makes all this life worthwhile

Because life gets in the way sometimes, dreams put on hold

As long as you continue to strive, you'll always manage a smile

Dream all of your dreams, aspire to the stars

Even if most dreams don't make it

You'll find you've lived a life that's full

Life is all chance, so take it

Our own e.Gene Myers wrote a fine poem called "Dropped dreams", his words helped inspire this. Thanks Gene.

Aspirationas and dreams can be good…if they are within the boundaries of God’s will…for this pleases Him….and keeps us safe, and on the path to life.

Those who will enter the kingdom of God must be like little children…meaning, dependant on God, as their father…meaning we should ask His approval and permission to do things…his wise advise as well…as a child would his father.

Take heed…many wolves parade in sheeps clothing.  At the very least, bad company will corrupt, at the worst it will lead us away from the Lord by encouraging sin.

God has fulfilled many of my dreams that were highly unlikely!  He is a very doting father, but when He resitricts, it is for good reason…he knows what is best for us.

You probably don’t know this…but often your words are like lures to me.  They often are temptations that I must resist.  I thank the Lord for being with me that I may see that and resist the temptations.

The opposer works through you more than you know…you are vulnerable to this because you are not striving to put on the armor of God…

The Lord says, above all else guard your heart…it’s sad to say that I must do so with you, Henry…whether you know it or not, you are being used…and I must take care and guard my heart in our exchanges because of this.

If we do not gather with the Lord, we scatter…it’s like a default.

I exhort you in love, to turn from the ways and thoughts of the perishing world, unto the ways of God that lead to life…

In Christ,

An inspiring write, Henry, and I can see Gene's flavor stirred in, too. Both of you are fantastic writers, and this is a wonderful write!

Kudos to you both!

Hugs from me to you both...
