A Season of Life: The Tears of the Soul: A Song of Hope
A Season of Life
The Tears of the Soul
A Song of Hope
by
Jamieson Steele

Lady John, lay me down,
ooo..the stone is icy cold,
-in tares-wrapped, linen-round-
it numbs me to my soul.
***
And bring me glass of mirrored thymes,
it ache me to my bones.
And fill my lung with juded knot
it burns in anguish blows.
***
Then take me to the Pastor's House
where Book of Dead warns dread.
Th'er carry me to the Steeple Bell
where Mount St. Mary's read.
***
And when I pass the Angel's Rest
where sweat pours from my bones,
lay me deep, in white-cloth sheets,
and pray, let it be, no more.
***
Lady John, lay me down,
ooo..the stone is icy cold,
-in tares-wrapped, linen-round-
it numb me to my soul.
***
And bring me glass of mirrored thymes,
it ache me to my bones.
And fill my lungs with juded knots,
it burns in anguished blows.

it numbs me to my soul.
***
And bring me glass of mirrored thymes,
it ache me to my bones.
And lay me deep, in white-clothed sheets,
and pray, let it be, no more.
ooo..pray, let it be, no more.
Yes, pray, let it be, no more.
