Sonnet of the Night by Cindy and Tristan

Sonnet of the Night
~ by Cindy and Tristan

The midnight hour is here -- when dreamers gaze

beneath the quiet covers of the night,
a passion stirs from in the darkened maze

where fantasies of lovers take their flight.

Blue diamonds twinkle in the blackened skies

with destiny beyond the charted field,

disguised from gossips’ lonely, wandering eyes,

and shadowed so the hours won’t be revealed.

Two lovers meet to share their lives as one

and be transformed together heart and mind,

to live a moment free from everyone...

to jump in front of life, not chase behind.

To meet here in this place must they atone –

for fantasizing life in nights alone?

Your combined work is as technically well done, imaginative and artful as each of your solo work. Such a combination of talent!

Your images carry along a well done romantic fantasy write.

...another breathtaking example of an English sonnet written in iambic pentameter...I expect nothing less from the Tapestry4Two.    I loved how you set the stage for these two lovers with dreams...but I like the conclusion the best!  oh, those lines..."lovers who meet to share their lives as one...to live a moment free from everyone.  TO JUMP IN FRONT OF LIFE, NOT CHASE BEHIND. To meet here in this place must they atone--for fantasizing life in nights alone?"  So easy to feel  and relate to these words...great job!
