It's not our Birthday on that day,
yet we get presents anyway.
Santa's not what we all need,
nor presents 'neath our Christmas Tree;
How did we get so out of touch,
from the One who chose to die for us?
I know that getting gifts is nice,
but as for God, we don't think twice;
We're caught up in our own, small
where love has lost most of its worth.
When you awaken Christmas day,
will you even take the time to pray;
Or will you ask for all your gifts,
"Now surely, I have more than this.”
It's not the presents we receive,
it's the neighbors living down the
