Spiritual Nearness
Drifting shadows anointed the detaching night
at that very moment
all was listening still

Exile was my distant soul descended
with no nourishment freedoms
to express was the drill

Then you touched my lifeless spirit to awake
with your affection spiritual nearness
and it was a fluttering thrill

A confession of my own silent thoughts
that shocked my mortal craving
sensual desires weakening me
I suddenly try to feel

The endless longing aches subsiding
in my mind of mortal emotions
my only heart you
try to steal

those dusty treasures are still so very beautiful. just give them a shaking and read aloud through the dusty cloud and we find a masterpiece lost in time. So glad you shared. I felt the sadness at first then the hope to follow . Always Maggie
