Can You Forgive Me

She quietly sobbed in my arms tonight

As I wondered if my conscious showed

The tears slowly ran down her frightened face

I wonít do it, how can I say that itís not true

In this moment I prayed soft words find my heart

Could pain be pushed away by memories of hope

I hurt her so bad and wasnít going to walk away

Fearing my emotions I cried and finally she knew

Can she forgive me; with her love I committed my sin

With her love, I commited my sin confuses me. IT soumds like the confession of an unfaithful husband up until that last line. Yer writing is getting more polished all the time, Shady....NICE BIKE!!!...len

Very powerful and intense as Glata said. This is gorgeous, I love the lingering...

Forgiveness a really hard thing but love conquers all , now the question I would ask the inflictor here is , is the lesson learned or will it be repeated. A really heartbreaking poem. A sense of all to well reality and pain. Always Maggie.

Ouch...sounds like a pretty bad scene, but one that happnes all too often I'm sure.

Forgiveness..hard but not impossible. Forgetting...a different story.

Good write though..
