Winter Arms
once
winter arms
 held me
within a tight grip;
frigid
your poetry came
 wrapped up in ribbons;
dancing
carried by prairie winds
that swept the
 open range;
dusty
found
 listening ears
thoughts pouring in;
overflowing
awakening my intellect
warm...interesting
winter arms
deliver
powdered sugar kisses;
snowflakes
drifting
how far is Dreamland Villa;
my Esperance?
I've
walked four miles
 to beat the
 clock
while two
black bears
 dance
under the moon;
branded
F F in bold scarlet letters...

You are so creative.  It's always interesting what the writers around here can see and feel in the word banks.

Linda Jo, your creativity is astounding! This poem begs to be read by the fireplace with a hot cup of coco in hand, its so warm, like a big fuzzy blanket. I agree with Firehark below I love the lines "powdered sugar kisses"...but I esp liked the two teddy bears dancing under the moon, I can picture it so vividly! You did a wonderful job with these words!.....Meg

Such a sweet poem Linda, this actually made me think of "The care bears".  Hugs,   Henry
