Wild Fire

Wild Fire

Our love is like a wildfire
Burning hot, out of control
Sweeping madly all before it
It's conflagration consumes our very soul

But it began with just a little spark
This ignition of our desire
It smoldered slowly, furtive
To seek life, it did aspire

And hidden from all prying eyes
This spark continued slowly to ignite
It took on a life that was it's own
And grew, through day and night

Finally, all consuming
It Broke out, and ran so fast and free
Nothing could stand within it's path
This fire so meant to be

And so it was, it engulfed us both
Within it's searing, blinding heat
This wildfire that became so all embracing
As two hearts, and lives, did joyous meet

Author's Notes:

For the man of my dreams,
I truly love and adore thee.

Well Tina, what you describe here is exactly the reason why you should never give up on love because it can come out of nowhere sometimes and you can get all caught up in it again! Good for you!  Hugs,   Henry

You've just described perfectly the fire that burned within me soul when I met my wife. It's still burning.
