Thunder On The Mesa
What is that.....
way over in the distance gray blues
with white puffs and other colors

acefully the blue rain shadows
were stretching over the desert mesa
wetting its path with raining fingers
On the wind-beaten desert rugged land
where once lived my Indian ancestors
along the snaking churning river
called the Rio Grande
Beneath the lazy hot noon day sun only
 dust rises into dirt devils
with the scorching desert heat
 endless whispering wind

Dang you live in a beautiful area.  Thunderstorms must be just magnificent.
