Cursed Nightmare

~The Segregation~

This is my life story that goes on forever

From the beginning of time to the 12th of never

Iíve seen life start while watching it end

And Iíve felt this planet stop then spin again

Iíve witnessed the fall of the Roman Empire

Then watched it be consumed in a pit of fire

Iíve saw a mushroom cloud above the east

And the hand of mankind feeding the beast

Iíve seen war for no more than a high score

So I speak about things that others ignore

Like leaders and bleeders of our economy

Who continue ignoring facts of our history

I saw ships take trips to the moon and back

And our faces in the mirror before it cracked

Iíve seen the separation of both time and space

Where my optical vision is mentally replaced

Now the prophecies society blatantly rejects

Are escalating our obscenities of immoral sex

So I hope that youíre paying complete attention

Before the planet becomes a place of detention

Letís take 2 steps forward and rewind your mind

Listen to the warnings or wander with the blind

For once the 7 churches start ringing their bells

The segregation divides levels of heaven and hell

********************
~Trapped Between Visions~

Iím trapped between visions I canít avoid

And what Iíve seen has left me paranoid

Portraits depicting mans ultimate destruction

In a battle that escalates into an eruption

All the tall buildings are crumbling to dust

Then are carried away as winds strongly gust

Clouds of darkness consume the burning sky

Wishing wells begin running completely dry

Trees turn brown and fall hard to the ground

My heart begins to rapidly beat and pound

Dead birds start falling with a frozen stare

In these reflections of this cursed nightmare

So can you imagine how it makes me feel

To live with these scenes that seem so real

When there isnít a damn thing I can do

To change the visions of this future I view

Author's Notes:
My son who has been making music since he was about 13 would go through my poetry books
and turn some of my poetry into songs. Now that Jimmy is 21, He has passed me in his ability of allowing his thoughts to run freely and rarely uses any of my words anymore. The song that is attatched to this posting is an example of that collaboration.
These 2 poems became part of hislyrics structure for this song.
Today Jimmy (known on Facebook as Primaryobjectiveinnovate
has over 13 CD's and 1200 songs!
I still enjoy some of his older songs and this is one of my favorites.
This song was recorded in 2006. Let me know what ya think!!!
Peace~
James

An extremely powerful song.  I enjoyed the the written lyrics as well as the recording.  I often feel like like there is nothing I can do but I am always told we can change the world one day at a time.

Hello fanoflilms,

These are indeed some very darkened times we live through...  I can see how your poems  could inspire your son to create songs out of them, they carry a message, try to keep the ship from sinking.  I hope that thanks to your combined talents things mite change for the better!

Greetings: Peter
