And the noise thatís always there

Itís there, even in the silence

And I dance in the spotlight in the rain

Trying to forgot that my heartís been slain

For Iím living my one life

Should be singing in the city

Should be laughing at the memories

Should be young, and carefree and hopeful.

But itís raining, even in the sunshine

Itís pouring even in the desert

My heart is damp

And I wish I could stamp on your heart.

But would that make things better?

I donít think so

Does revenge rectify regret?

I just wish weíd never met.

The silence in the silence

The heart in the heart

The look in the look

In these days of darkness

Iíll struggle to see the light

And Iíll try with all my might

So things get back to right.

Rain on a cigarette

Dam on a river

Distraction on a thought

Stop, take a step back

Stop thinking about the things you lack

Just be carefree and maybe then everything will fall into place

And before you know it, his name will be gone without a trace.
