The World is Square
The World is Square

Wiping the mirror clean
From a build up of steam
The world is really square
It is not round, I scream
Does anyone even care

The forest isn't green
Cluttered it isn't clean
The world is really square
It is not round, I scream
I am alone no one is here

The sky is no longer blue
A a red amber is it's hue
The world is really square
It is not round, I spew
Blood is found everywhere

What I know to be true
Is so different from you
The world is really square
It is not round, I spew
Does anyone even care

Author's Notes:
Severe writers block.  I am having problems viewing the world as everyone else sees it.  I still know what it should be, I haven't lost it totally, yet. When I look in the mirror I am not sure of what I see, today when I looked at the world I see disgust, dirt, hate, confusion.

The world is square, Tina, no doubt.....Squareness and the number 4 is constricting in numerology....Does anyone care?....Indeed!!  Unfortunately, not enough souls DO care...if they did, then the ol' planet could make it...oil sludge and all!!....Intriguing write, Tina...thanks for sharing your thoughts...

I doubt if the everyone else sees the world in one particular way. There is way too much all around us to take in all at once, so perception of the world depends largely on what we choose to focus on. Are people like the ones who ran the Nazi death camps, or the ones who died to liberate those poor souls? To say that you don't see the world as everyone else does puts you in the position of the only individual, and the rest of us as just part of the faceless mnasses. I really liked your poem...It spurred me to make a much longer comment than I normally do..Nice audio presentation too, kid...len

I hear yah! Yes...our world is not what it once was...I fear it will only get worse. You've presented this with a fresh line of reasoning that I appreciated. Enjoyed!
