It’s the innocence in you that nailed me;

That incisive intellect sealed the deal.

Life confounds with its twists and turns.

 We swim upstream as wild salmon,

But come, remove yourself

from the incessant hum of creation…

Find me there in the silence

For there I will always remain,

Our connection

mutually understood.

So brief this dalliance in foreign lands

But less alone now

knowing you.

Beautiful metaphors Alison. The salmon opting out of creation for the silence of the wild.

Ali:  I have rarely found myself speechless, but this poem reaches the inner depths of me and will not set me free from its grasp of my soul.  Finding each other, connecting and remaining there -- all within the realm of the silence that is deafening to many and a symphony to few is mutually understood.... the place where loneliness is resolved...   and maybe forever is born.  Beautiful in depth and purity -- a magnificant poem.  Tristan
