Back to me

Maybe maybe maybe

There was a time when I would have let you walk over me

Maybe maybe maybe

There was a time when I would have let you control me

A puppet on a string

Made to do anything

You decided you wanted

But Iím not that girl anymore

I hate the memories but they canít kill me

They can only make me stronger

You were so wrong wrong wrong

I gave you everything

And I donít know where my apology is

Not that sorry would make up for anything

The dent you put in my heart

The way you bent my heart

And I think you know

That you were wrong, wrong, wrong

I think somewhere you know

Love is a scary thing

That makes you hide from flaws

You clawed yourself into me

And the scars are healing

Slowly but surely Iíll get back to me

Iíll get back to who I ought to be

This was strong and powerful. Determination of the best kind. Allowing someone to twist and bend who we really are in it's self should be a sin. Love is beauty, love is tenderness and anything less is just the opposite of love.

excellent write
