The Windowsill
Breaking himself down inside, he's turning cold
City lights are burning bright but the darkness won't let go
Another scream cuts through the night
Forewarning of the storm
Lightning strikes igniting fear
He dies to be reborn

Sitting on the windowsill, he stares down at the street
Watching every tear collide with every car it meets
His mind is clouded and he can't seem to get a grasp
Why is it that every single one he loves
Won't seem to love him back

A letter held within his hands tells of why he jumped
A fear that dwells within his mind tells him that he won't
He rips the paper right in half to make it like his heart
And all at once his memories flashed and fell apart

Gazing at the blurry ink on the paper now tear soaked
He pushes off the windows edge to meet the end he wrote

Wow.  I really thought at the end he would turn away.  I was hoping he'd turn away at least.  Great job on this. It was a a great write.
