The story of us

There were two hearts

Who met by chance

Formed a connection

That led to romance

Their initial bond

Was that of friends

Little did they know

A lifelong search did end

Each had a heart

That was bruised and scarred

Locked inside a prison

Of emotional bars

Then came that call

That tentative hello

Their hearts fertile ground

Where love began to grow

Each had their lives

Mates and children too

As they continued talking

The need for each other grew

Aware of their positions

Nothing did they expect

Love just grew stronger

Built on mutual respect

Life threw them curves

Challenges were met each day

Yet these two hearts accepted

That life sometimes gets in the way

The day approaches where they meet

To share loves first kiss

The angst will suddenly vanish

About all the time they’ve missed

For all the time they’ve been

Never have they fought or fussed

My sweet love, you’ve just read

The wonderful story of us

This is a beautiful story of an unexpected love that was obviously meant to be from the beginning...Henry, what a touching write! When love is real, nothing can compare, and THIS is what it is all about!
Life does tend to get in the way...but when something is meant to be, it will find a way.
A beautiful expression of a beautiful love...
And...into my favorites this goes!
Hugs and...................WOW!!!!!
