Baby Steps
"Baby Steps"

Baby steps.
Baby words.
Rambling discourses.
Painful agonies of feelings.
Lonely desert canyons filled with remorse, regrets, nostalgia and unspeakable midnight sadness.
Myriads of feelings, filtered through diamond clusters, all filled with longing, passion, tears, gentle emotions and raw compassion.
Life's experiences felt and lived to finally emerge within a cool and crystal clear, silent mountain spring.
To awaken in this Heaven, surrounded by life, the verdant caresses of the Seasons and their servants, the Ivory Moon and the sparkling stars.
All of our souls and feelings, having been reborn, molded, sculpted, and crafted into shimmering, velvet wrapped raw hearts, faithfully filled with optimism.
To be able to dream once again of the sensation that was to feel your silken flesh as it ran through my fingers like wheat kernels on a bright Spring day.
Kernels of wheat running through my fingers before it is milled, silken , soft, fragrant scents of cream, vanilla, rich butter, rain and tender earth,
With your passionate form slumbering gently beneath my arms and heart, gratefully waking to grant me recognition of my life with your kiss.
All of these feelings lie now quietly tucked away within me,
Tucked away within another universe where they will create another gentle Universe within them, much as your heart always did with mine.
Author's Notes:
I wrote this piece with the inspiration being a bird-bath filled with a wide variety of birdseeds. The silken feeling it generated as I ran my fingers through it reminded me of the feeling of wheat kernels before they are milled. It also reminded me of the ripe and hedonistic scents of the grains and how the feeling always reminded me of Spring and the new life that comes with it

This is gorgeous, and I'm blown away by the strength of the imagery.
