Cherishable Memories

Thou you went away for the weekend
With your fair lady, to plan your future
I wandered through our old magazines
Tryig to finalize, our last goodbyes
I see pictures of us sitting by the beach
In the memory of my mind
When we use to go there, just to kill some time
As we talked about all our dreams
I knew you were not just another boy

There were things I wanted to tell you
But in the middle of my heart
There were weaknesses, that I could not cross
The bare thought of me telling you, the truth
Of how much I was in love with you
I was afraid you'd walk away..
So here I am today..
Telling you before you go on your way

I can take a perfect picture sad holiday
Turn it into a good memory with you
Like down on the coast in 1992
Us having fun, surfing under the sun
Even holding hands, walking in the sand
Laughing at each other, while making sand angels
But I can't take the thought of losing you
My best friend..

Author's Notes:
This write was not real! But I hate goodbyes! I mean it's never easy to watch a friend walk out of your life! Sometimes this does happen!! This write was just set an example of how much I do really hate goodbyes.. Also an example of how when you really love someone, you need to tell then before they ever slip away from your reach!! I do have  afew friends who I still hold dearly close to my heart that are not any longer apart of my life and i miss them dearly!!! And I do pray that some day we will re-unite!!

Angel:  I really like this poem.  Your heart is baring thoughts that are important and meaningful to its existence -- and becuase it hasn't happened in the way its scripted, it doesn't mean that the feelings are not very real about which you write.  The logical flow here is great.  As you wander and wonder through more lines and verses, rhymes and poems, it will seem to get easier to find your words and express your thoughts and feelings.  You are a remarkable volume of experiences that need to be chronicled.  Take your time -- don't miss anything.  Nice work.  Tristan
