Intervention on TV
Intervention on Tv

Screwed up
Sad

True to Life
Hurtful to watch
Gives people a wake up call.
Brings tears to your eyes
Makes you Realize how much your life Is Precious.
Makes you step back and think that your not alone when you see someone waste their life away.
Numbs you, until it's all done and over with.
Intervention, you should watch because it teaches you about addiction.
Intervention I challenge just for one day, to watch, think and learn.
You'll have a different view point of what's behind the eyes of a drug addict and alcoholic.
Intervention takes the life to a whole new meaning, and brings you back to loving the person whose wasting life away.

Intervention is nice when it is successful, but the program only shows the beginning.  What happens when the newness of healing wears off and the person has to go back to the mundane reality of life?  Do they keep the success going, or do they fall back into the same old rut?  I respect those that truly change their lives, but have known far too many that talk only, never truly changing.  I wish it could always be a healing, but fear that it is not.  At least their loved ones have tried.  What's that old saying?
"You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink."
