Am I Less

I hold such love for you yet cannot speak it

How are you able to say that you love me

I slowly walk an emotional tightrope with fear

You are more than what I asked hope to deliver

Am I less than the one who will hold your love

Sooth my weakness and say there is no other

Never tasting your love does not haunt my soul

It is having the bitterness of rejection touch my lips

This is hauntingly beautiful Steve.  As bittersweet as it is, love is worth all that we must endure...Hugz...Jillian

"You are more than what I asked hope to deliver
Am I less than the one who will hold your love"

Sometimes, you just know when it's not meant to be....Nicely penned, Steve...len

I am totally digging the tightrope line.... I like how you put that! True true... This seems painful to me. But sometimes the best part of love comes from the hurt. Yet if love is out of reach there comes a time it necessary to change your direction. A more truer love can be on a different path. And Steve I have always been afraid of rejection. Must be the Human in us.

I like your writings I always have and I am sure I always will!
Big smiles

Steve,
Moving indeed. Rejection is most unpleasant but we just have
to swallow it and move on. Love is a strange thing and we go through an emotional roller
coaster at times. Hang in there :)

Your writing is SO good, always enjoy.
Hugs,
Tracie

Love is a very beautiful, but fragile thing. Many atre the pitfalls associated with it, but is is wonderful when it all comes together.  I hope for you that it does, and all the misgivings and wonderings may pass into oblivion.

Short and moving. Rejection is a bitter pill that never goes down easily and is always in the back of our minds. Good read
