In Disgrace To Your Prayers
How funny it is
Watching your kind
Flocking to the building with the cross on the door
You go inside, sit down and listen to the sermon about to be spoke
The reason this is ironic, is cause it's the same sermon
The last pastor wrote
Ironic is it not, how the message is always the same
Save your soul, accept him
Or burn in an eternal flame
You pray out of fear
Not out of love
You pray for your soul
Not for your God
It's ironic how you can judge people like me
Based on the opinions, you preach to me
You say I am wrong for not going to church
You say I am wrong for not praying
Yet you speak false words under your breath
You bow your head just to fit in with the rest
You care not for your God
You care only for yourself
You place offerings in a bucket,
To make a better image of yourself

Oh how I see the lies you speak
I believe in God sir, it is to him I will speak
He shall judge me for my action
I shall not be judged by you
I shall live in this world without regret
If I deserve hell, then hell I shall go
Though I am like you and pray for Heaven gold
But I am not like you, I don't create a persona
I am myself at all times, Sunday is no different
I will not wear a suit simply because you think I should
I will not pray merely to make myself look good
I offer no gold unto the plate, it will no go to God
It will only go to waste
Fix up your church building with some of the cash
Buy new cars with the rest of the cash
You prey on the weak
And target the young
You are all vile beings
Filth and scum
But I do agree some should pray
But most of you only do it on sunday
Sometimes at dinner sometimes at church
Empty prayers are the worst
To make my point vital
And to prove it true
The old pray to God
In hopes of heaven
The young pray not
For they fear not death
The old pray because they are scared of it
The young pray not
For the believe they will beat it.

It is clear that you have not spent much time in a Mormon Church.  Yes, there are some you describe very well, but for the most part, you are off base with my church.  "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints."  You should go sometime and investigate it  seriously to find out what we believe in.  One Sunday, two..... not enough time to get an accurate look.  Go for a few months.  By what you say in your poem, I think it would be worth your while to check us out.  I felt much the same as you in my youth, but over the years I have decided that we have a church that is on the right coarse, but there are still people in it who need their beliefs shook up.  "The old pray because they are
scared of it"
Fear death in my old age? ....  No, I look forward to it.  I will not force it to come, but I will not fear it.  I fear how I will die, yes, but not death itself.
