Wet Paint

Wet paint on a palette of many shades.

In delicate hand, she attempts the colors of her life.

Brush gliding gracefully across the canvas.

Strokes bold and vivid, others thin and fragile.

Music fills the room soft and dreamy.

Singing along in an almost inaudible voice.

A smile plays around the corners of her lips.

Inner happiness exploding like fireworks.

Sun filters through a stained glass window.

A rainbow prism grace the tile floor.

Tiny particles of dust dance and twirl.

A large tabby sits watching curiously.

Stepping back admiring what she has created.

Satisfaction held deep in her brown eyes.

Masterpiece of colorful hearts in many sizes .

His name carefully stained in each one.

Very interesting work. I think it shows a different side to this author than we normally see, which in turn, fills out the rest of their work quite nicely. As to the poem, I like the overall thematic structure here, or rather, the deliberate lack of one, this suggest this work really did come from the heart without the damaging influence of the right brain infringing upon it. Excellent stuff.

MELODY,

You seem to be a master painter here with your words, all coming to life, jumping off the page and showing the brilliance of life and visual and sensory delights captures masterfully and shared with your readers.

so many times i've commented on your ability to paint pictures in our mind, and in this work that is literally what you do.  i lack the skills of a painter (other than the walls), so i can admire what your artist creates.  one note - your font was a bit hard on the eyes of this old guy.  still, i can see the quality of this fine work.  keep it up, ms chilly berry

I love the images, colors and feel of this poem.  Especially her tabby that sits and watches, I could see that happening.  It's a very peaceful and mellow poem, that I enjoyed.
