Have you ever felt so alone?

Have you ever felt so alone?

That the sky can’t see your frame

Jesus learn my name

I’d love you if you would

You’d love me if you could.

I stand in the lull of the storm

So that the quietness is quieter than usual

Little mimics of me craving to succeed

You’re older than they are young

Dusty photographs – too many songs sung.

Patchwork quilts, dear diaries, postcards

Of every sun setting summer

Time is still – a window sill of many horizons

And fate wouldn’t you come.

I found myself in love with you

The scrapbook is full.

Eager to please – not at ease

With the real you

A million changes – rearranges

My soul never felt so weak

My heart never felt so strong

And there’s the sea outside my window.

I saw a ghost today –

That haunted my shadow

I wonder what to believe

And see my misplaced trust on sinking boats

And my life’s a shooting star

I want to see every place – every face

I feel so alive in you

Sky you’re never lonely – blue

Heart – morals taken by blinding emotions

And devotions to those we trust

I love the rain when it’s so there it makes you fresh

I love those certain people

I love days blending to night

I love the paths I’ve walked too many times

I love the way past and fast rhyme

I know where I am

The sea is so calm

And I’m in love with its constant curves.
