kneeling alone,
head bowed to stone,
the candles 'round me flicker,
making shadows dance
in the bark of trees
and clearings.
time has no essence
where the Elements dance,
warm Wind smoothly flowing
over skin like
the touch of lovers,
warm Rain falling
through the trees,
dripping off skin
like sweat
of two becoming one,
sweet smelling Earth,
moistened by the light rain,
brining comfort to the soul,
small hungry Flames of a candle
leap and sputter around
tamed by the controlling rain,
Moonlight brings the Spirits,
those loved recently deceased
to comfort the lost mortal soul,
bringing an hour peaceful serenity
into a life of chaos.
at the end of
the Witching Hour,
True Night reigns supreme,
the Four Elements
gather 'round the Fifth,
each blessing in turn,
the young soul
in the clearing alone,
kneeling upon the age worn stone.
Author's Notes:
again, I didint know what to put this in because it can belong in both religious and nature. I put it in religious because i thought that perhaps people might get offended by reading a poem that is both highly religious and about nature. thank you all for reading this.
