Short but sharp. I like it...it shows a sense of optimism about the new year and a new start.

I like haiku, though I've never been short winded enough to write many...I especially like the last line of this one. A good year to you as well, my friend!

Happy New Year....
I like this haiku....never write them (I hate counting syllables) but always enjoy them.
Such a sweet little package of thoughts, feelings and senses.
Excellent Jack!

Andrew, what a wonderful way to look at the new year as the past is washed away, waning, in your cold night winds.  This is lovely.

If only it actually got cold in Arizona, main reason I miss Michigan. =) sorry I'm so late on commenting.

I quite like this one, too.  I'm a fan of the short and sweet.  (Mostly because the super long ones often fail to hold my attention.  Sad, I know.)  Happy new year.

As true as true can be! (here anyway) Hope we take the best from the old year and incorporate it into the new year...we'll have an instant advantage that way huh. May your 2010 be filled with love and happiness.
