Hearts to Fire
The star I'm after burns ever brighter
Akin to the Sun, I'm holding tighter
At the first word I'm done and sold
Stay like this
Pain in remiss

Midnight drive and the mark to remind
Profoundly innocuous, this pain is kind
Much more than another hand to hold
As I sleep
Memory to keep

Holding dear
The face makes the world dissipate

Holding near
The face drives the storm to abate

Holding still
The face in my head as I now close my eyes
Until I rise
Dream fulfilled

Reminiscent of the days that I once knew
Promise of brighter days awakens anew
Stirred as I caressed you the first time
No more days
In this haze

Sailing the waters that meet to your end
It's a feeling I can't quite comprehend
As long as it has these depths so sublime
I don't care
This I swear

Holding dear
This light I've discovered so bright

Holding near
This light, always there in my sight

Holding still
This light will remain after we again depart
Take this heart
Wish fulfilled
