Holding Hands
Holding Hands

When the pain struck
Your hand was in mine
Even though my last breath
Would be lost among
So many voices
That diminish with time.
I saw only dark
No tunnel of light
No hand to guide me
Through this
My lonely night.

Author's Notes:
I have not been well for a while. I am ok now. Had a heart attack! Quite funny for a poet who writes from the heart lol.

You are in my prayers.

I love this poem I was going to comment anyways... I do love the poem.
If I can help in anyway, by sending you some heart friendky recipes.... I know my grandfather had a heart attack 30 years ago... and my grandma cooks him (still) Only heart friendly food. I can get some recipes if you like? No bother to me and no worries, if you'd rather pass.... It is just a thought.

John:  Happy you are okay now.  We would surely miss your loving writes from the heart -- stay strong and on the mend.
