Depth of Emotion
The Depth of emotion
Of which I create
Exposes the people
Who want to relate

Depression in fact
Can be quite real
Not just something I write
Its something I feel
Depression erased
Despite what you say
Is nothing you face
If you're looking away

You can give it to God
Then let it go
But you cant stop emotion
Out of control

I live my life
Beyond the frame
I write my poems
One in the same

To share my emotion
Is my humble gift
To pass on a smile
To give you a lift
Are you so righteous
You cant look my way
Or are the feelings I share
Too painful to say
I'll go on writing
As I did before
With the depth of emotion
You cant ignore

Like many others, depression is something I am familiar with...You just go on with your bad self, Fletch...No writer should ever write for an audience. Write waht you feel and your stuff will be woth the read...len

awsome poem really like the rhyming. I also write what I feel and sometimes I just don't feel good.

Depression plagues so many of us...sometimes we expect it to arrive and sometimes it catches us completely by surprise...Having someone to talk to helps at times...just to share the "depth of emotion", with someone who cares can lift the spirits...well written and heartfelt

Rants/venting    I missed that category.     I too suffer from depression.  Stopped taking the meds as all they did for me was to make me more  aware that I had depression.  This web site is really helping me.  Beautifully written if that subject may be called beautiful.  Enjoyed it and put it in favorites.    Gene

I love this poem.  Depression is real.  The more you try to hide it or suppress it the worst it gets.  Sharing can really allieviate a lot of pain that would otherwise linger around for years.

Hi Fletch:  depression can be so all-consuming.  this is a great rant and tells a good story.
