Two Friends

Your words meant so much to me,

I want you to know you help me to see.

Hearing familiar words from you,

‘You’re not the only one and God makes two.’

You challenge my walk,

   I wanted to step aside.

You made me want to live,

I was tired and wanted to die.

Your words brought back my smile,

‘Just walk with us one more mile.’

Your prayer moved God to plucked me out,

from all the darkness and the doubt.

You listen to me as a caring friend,

encouraging my faith to try again.

I thank God for you with all my heart,

He is our friend, you done your part.

Isn't it wonderful when God sends us a loving servant of his to pick us up?  It's always at just the right time...

After reading al your first posts in a row...I am relieved to see God make a saving appearance here in this poem.

A lovely write full of gratitude...

This poem is very encouraging and well written.  You were lucky to be able to believe in the strength of God's Love.

faith is an amazing "force-multiplier," to use the military parlance.  i applaud you for turning what were difficult times for you into a staff of support for another.

I really enjoyed. When we turn to faith for answers, we realize we are never alone. Good write!

Sometimes, when all seems lost, we fall back to faith and find our answers.  This is a lovely testament to those truths.  I enjoyed this very much. Looking forward to more of your work. ~Pamela .

He's carried me many a mile in my life, also.  From putting a 357 in my mouth to having a loving wife and two pain in the butt daughters.  Kidding, just didn't want to use loving to close together.  Besides if they ever read it, it will give them something to yell at me about.  He kept me from squeezing the trigger.   Glad you listen to Him.       liked it.    gene
