The Gift of Love

He pushed me to the edge

Everything has been broken then

Telling me I cannot move on

Who will understand my aching heart?

He cruelly isolated me

Iím trapped in the furthest room

Away from the sounds of laughter

Confined in the shadows of loneliness

Only I detect the fragmented memories

I felt the stabbing pain and I bled

The whole world closed its street

Black night stuck outside my window

I cried out in longing but no one hears

Suddenly his smile is something I long

Desperate that only wariness is left

No need to speak you understand my quiet lines

You walked over

Bringing a different kind of conversation

You didnít even let me know

How good you are to me

Slowly these pieces of love

Silently settled and lived here

Deeply in my heart

No one had seen it

Quietly, but was always here

Is your love of silence

Loving so strongly the sky is falling

Your love becoming so dependable

Everyday n the future

No matter what happens

Can you give it to me?

I want to be always at your side

Unexpectedly I opened my heart

Accepting your give of love

Tossing aside the memories of hurt

And making new memories of laughter
