Why the Moon Fell

If the moon
should be so kind
and gather all the broken hearts...
including those from you and I
I dare say
She would be so heavy
She would fall
from the midnight
sky.

You know I love this!
The moon, like Ali said is an inspiration and icon of feminine wisdom. You write concisely and beautifully Linda Jo.

Hello Linda Jo :-)

What a lovely and totally empathic response to my poem. The Moon stands for feminine wisdom and is very precious and sacred to me..yes..a 'mother' to me..always was..always will be.
The thought of her becoming so sad-filled with emotion she falls from the sky..is a very insighful and lovely expression.
Wonderfully put
 Ali x

a fav as well.
