The Blazing Summer Sky

Gusts of wind carries relief-

Soothing the sweat beaded flesh of sun baked skin

All creatures sear beneath the summer sky

Distributing a fusion of coconut oil and stale beer

Occasionally they take turns with the scent of distinguished night fires

A glorious montage of colors parade around the pool

Some engage in companionship while others prefer solitude

Children yawn, tuckered out from a day of swim and play

While adolescence awaken, knowing their time is almost near

Another evening of bronzed bodies, cigars and cigarettes

Fruity drinks and beer gathering by the fire

Diverse conversations -of past, present and future

Weave in and out of the flames as if they were talking

Cultural differences blend like the ingredients in their cups

Quenching the thirst of hungry minds and bodies

The night calls it a night..and all say goodbye

Only to be greeted again tomorrow under the blazing summer sky
