Sunny Happy Dayz
The warmth of sunshine covers my face As I remember those moments of sweet embrace It was a moment in time, a memory in my mind, a special place With family and friends all gathered a 'round for that AWSOME race As we were happy as could be, that uncle Bj was finally home So we could get together and play some base ball We picked our teams' with Mr. know it all's lol Trying to be bossey as to who would have who on their teams For myself it really did not matter' as long as i was on my favorite cuss team I looked up to her' for the big sister I never had We did lots of fun stuff together We moved into grandma's not long after grandpa died We hung out with each other' and stuck by each other like bestfriends would do I remember standing by her side and covering up for her She was the bestest friend in the whole wide world Those were the dayz of old, when we were young and thought We knew it all from the get go... Little did we know what was ahead for each of us Today we both have all grown up Living our lives separately Sometimes I miss here, more than words can ever say We talk from time to time, but seems we have grew apart I'd give anything to have those sunny dayz back again To hang out with her and feel the warmth of her love As a big sister I've never had But much time has passed us by We've both moved on and gotten married We've both got our own little families That keeps us very busy The journey of our lives has passed us on by Soon we'll be over the hill And those teenage years will be only faded memories Of a life we once knew On those beautiful sunny dayz As for now, these memories live on And I miss her, more than words can ever begin to say
Author's Notes:
Marsha thank you sweetie for always being there for me! You were the greatest big sister I never did have, and the bestest friend a young girl could ever have had! I miss you more than words can ever say! Your more than my double first cousin, but you will always in my heart be to me,my big sister,my bestfriend! I love you! Go Bless you and your family!!

It sounds like you two shared some great times. Hold tight to those memories...they are precious though often bittersweet. If only time wouldn't change everything but time waits for marches on. Sometimes change means separation of people by distance, raising families, or lifestyl and people drift apart. Fond memories Shelia...filled with longing.
