How I Speak

how i speak  is like a dog   that can never solve  the puzzle of its tail.  It follows   but never learns  that it is the self ,  that causes the circle--  such is the tale of  all mysteries.

I have met noone else who embodies metaphor as you do Andrew.

Not all that mysterious, my friend…you’re a poet, through and through… :o)  You eat, sleep, drink and breath—metaphorically. :o)

Though I tried to stay my restless thoughts

they ran away from home

where self-control

despotic

ruled

They ran into your arms!

They settled back and nestled

in a crook of comfort

on the couch

picked up their constant friend

the Bible…

and put a friend in yours!

Our legs drew lines set parallel

that rested on the stool

and every often I’d pipe up

(incorrigable fool)

to interrupt the silent musings

with great zealous leaps!

telling of some revelation

…muttering of sheeps.

Then my thoughts met crossroads

that were curious and shy

hesitant and wondering

if you ever sighed

if your thoughts did ever run away

to keeps of mine…

’fore a knock came at the door

with run-away resigned.

I ASKED THE LORD TO MERGE TWO THINGS FOR ME IN A POEM…THOUGHTS OF US (YOU AND I) AND THOUGHTS OF HIM…TOGETHER.  I WANTED TO SEE WHAT WOULD EMERGE FROM IT.  FOR AS YOU HAVE POINTED OUT, SOMETIMES WE CAN’T SEE CLEARLY WHEN WE ARE EMOTIONALLY INVOLVED…THIS IS A TWINING OF BOTH.  NOT BAD! :o)  (God’s not striking me down with lightning in it, is what I mean :o) )

I wanted to discuss my feelings with the Lord

and get His wise and honest opinion so I can work through the thoughts and feelings I have for you.

I thought I would share these thoughts, feelings and strivings with you.

Love,

Pamela
