Cancer
Pain follows me inside,
Pain follows me in the dark,
Pain tears me apart,
Pain kills me inside,
I try to hold myself together,
I try not to lose myself,
But all i have is my shadow,
Now i sit back and die,
So watch me die just don't cry,
A star falls short of your feet,
But you decide not to keep,
Lost from what pain may hold,
Then you slowly start to unfold,
Pain follows me inside,
Pain follows me in the dark,
Pain tears me apart,
Pain kills me inside,
I watch as i am left,
I watch as i die,
In your eyes,I cry,
Follow me and you'll never go back,
Leave me and nothing will be the same,
You see,I already lost my track,
And now, only I, am to blame,
I've sat by you till the end,
But as i lie and start to bend,
You just sit with out sympathy,
It's a shame that now you don't see,
So many problems within,
But where to start or begin,
This is, no was, the hardest choice,
This is not for you to hear my voice,
This is just another disease,problem,issue,
But one thing this is, this is i promise is for you,
This is my oath, my promise, my compromise,
There is no false claim, or even a single disguise,
But the only thing we compromised on was our hearts,
And that we make sure we don't tear them all apart.
Author's Notes:
I wrote this a very long long time ago when i first started writing adult stories in 5th grade, and i tried writing poetry for the first time,And i tried writing a story about one of my best friends who had passed away from severe cancer, she went into a coma and never came out of it.=[ And this is a dedication to her and all of my cancerous best friends out there.

Wow! I started writing in grade school too but I can see I wasn't nearly as good as you were and surely still are. I have to put this in my faves.
