I opened the door of sadness
expressing hurt within
something that was created
by the triggers of your last sin

I kept that door wide open
even though your reply had no soft tones
for to close the door of memories
the child inside still moans

And in to me see (intimacy)
I wished for
so a closeness could deeply be felt
for to close the door of forgiveness
is to throw out the cards that were dealt

I opened the door of sadness
for in your hand you held the key
but you locked the door behind you
when in to me you did not see.

I can feel the anquish within these lines, dear Helen...When intimacy, 'in to me see' thrown by the wayside then pain arrives...Sad, but well expressed.....

How very true and sad when you feel someone looking through you as if you were never there...  Sincerely Clay

The title certainly jumps out and provides some expectation.  You did an excellent job of delivering an emotionally strong  description on the subject.

Awesome write!!!  I believe one can keep open the doors to forgiveness even though it may invite sadness...  If anyone wipes theit feet on us more than once then shame on us though...  An inspirational write from an inspirational lady...  Ham

you really drive home the impact that one person's actions can have on the intimacy of a relationship, and how it stings to be the innocent bystander victim
