A tiny jewel entrusted to my care;

a precious bundle, warm from heaven...

And I would tackle the Hydra unarmed

to protect you.

The tides in your breath

the simplicity of your surrender…

I never could understand

those who cannot comprehend divinity

Or see God in a flowering cherry...

or a baby, sleeping.

The old story of the forest and the trees...We are all surrounded by, and a part of God...We don't know who first discovered water, but we know it wasn't a fish.. :o)...len

Several lines of this piece made me go "awww" but my favorite line was the "Hydra" line. ;o)

 I take it you are getting to spend some quality time with her. Be sure to spoil her rotten.

These small things are not small at all for those who can see the wonder. Those who cannot live on in spiritual poverty. Quite right.Nice work.

Ali:  lovely write.  It is amazing what people just do not see in the everyday things that are so often taken for granted.
