We watch the empire fall,

forced, it would seem on TV!

Our money disappears

sweat and blood, unseen.

Dream a word or two,

act it out on stage,

our streets, our lives,

our pavements

(we pay taxes don't we?)

Our rights to express

may create panic!

Outlaw Television,

Outlaw Radio,

Outlaw Newspapers.

Allow me to sing a song,

act out my outrage,

bring emotion to the people,

in my own neighborhood.

Author's Notes:
Just something I read about London where street performers (buskers) were not allowed and/or jailed for singing banned songs in the street. It's our lives. We are forced to listen and watch what the 'media' intends and what the government allows. Where does it all end? I never even heard about this term until today. This isn't poetic, just a rant.

it is a good rant. expression and a voice should be heard  when it needs to be heard . It should not be banned.  Cheers to the buskers!
