Once Upon a Twilight December
Once upon a Twilgiht December...
The carols were echoing their bells
Throughout the cold streets...
A bitter chill haunts the night...
The orphanage playground covered in a blanket of snow...
The swings creaking in the wind...
The coming of twilight...
Calls upon the ghosts of Christmas past...
The children are trapped in a timeless embrace...
Forever they play in the abandoned playground...
Every Christmas twilight...
You can hear their laughter through the cold streets...
But the fun turns to an eerie chill and silence...
You can hear their screams when their murder came...
You can hear the slowing spin of the mary-go-round...
The laugher stops...
There is a trail of blood dripped along the murder's foot prints...
The ghostly tale of the orphanage...
The ghostly tale of a Christmas Twilight...
Author's Notes:

I don't know. I was listening to Carol of the Bells thinking of ghosts and playgrounds. I wanted it to be another ghost story. Not just any ghost story...But a christmas ghost story.

Once upon Creative-poems Website I read Ellie's verses and I felt taken inside her universe and splendid imagination.
