Another Day Of Grey

Summertime golds and sky's of blue
no clouds in sight, well, just a few

But this is England all above is wrong
the sun was here but it's now long gone

Cloud cover thick what else can I say
it's raining here, another day of grey

Can't cut the grass or polish the car
looking for blue sky, but I can't see that far

Gather the family round, dust off a game
so it's raining outside, is it really a shame?

Author's Notes:
This was inspired by a poem called Rain, Hanane wrote it...(Go read it!) Thanks H!

Lots of grey days here lately, I like this... Too many times we get ready to do anything outside and our plans are spoiled... gotta be creative, and you prove that, no better day than a grey day to write a  poem!

I happen to love days of gray and rain myself....gloomy is good for me.....but then again I am a bit twisted at times ha ha.

Oh, I happen to love this poem too John.

We usually don't have too much rain around here during the daytime...we've had a lot of rain in the evenings, though...and thunderstorms at night :o) which I LOVE~!

Great way to spend a rainy day, my friend...playing board games with the family! We used to do that, too...but it's been a long time. Sounds like I need to get back into that habit!

Hugs to ya, brother of mine!!

oh what i wouldn't do for just one raindrop...now i live in the desert but i used to live where it rained alot.  i like how you encouraged us to do something fun when rainy days come together with gray skies...

I will like my poem rain once more since it inspired you to give birth to such a smart poem.

Dear John this piece is going to my fav's. I like it and I imagine now the scene down there. Do throw me a raindrop. it is too hot in my country.
