Our love is like a blade of grass
Desire fell upon my brow
As I felt the warmth within
I just know I need you now
But where do I begin........

Love has came so freely
And deep within my heart
How do I express it
Let this poem be the start.......

Our love is like a blade of grass
In the gentle rain
Since the day you touched my heart
I will never be the same
Desire like the fruitful soil
Has fertilized our love
Passion like the summer sky
Shines from the Lord above

We are truly gifted
As if we're meant to be
But like the blade of grass needs cut
Death has taken you from me

I know that I've moved on now
But as my passion flows
Happy tears fall from my eyes
And our blade of grass still grows

Fletch- There is a very interesting analogy here. True love never really ends; it gets trimmed, suffers hurt and weathers storms. I like it.

A very inviting poem because it is visual and emotional.

Nicely done Fletch! I love the changing of colors, like the changing of emotions tide.. Warm, special, longing and surreal. All wrapped in a neat little package.

Yours;

Moonie

Oh, this tugs at ones heart... Our love still grows.....
Your so amazing with such a soft fuzzie heart...
No matter what sometimes that love will not die...
I know I have cut that love down several times and still it grows...
I can so relate to this madness called love...

I adore this poem, i like the progression of thought displayed by the changing colors, then what appears to be a regression...a most powerful ending!..."our blade of grass still grows"
